DIRECTV'S portable satellite unit, known as Sat-Go resembles a large, 27 pound laptop computer. It's a complete satellite TV system with a 17-inch monitor, satellite dish, receiver, rechargeable battery, and AC/DC adapters for your car. All you do is plug it in, line up the antenna, and you're in business.
With Sat-Go you can get satellite TV while you're away from home RVing , camping, or on a road trip. And you can keep track of all the football games on NFL Sunday Ticket while tailgating at your favorite team's stadium.

DISH Network Portable Satellite TV
DISH Network's portable system, the PocketDish, isn't really a satellite TV system. It's a portable media recorder/player that can download programs from any of DISH Network's 350 channels. It can also download content from your computer, DVD player, MP3 player, or video recorder. A one-hour program on DISH Network can be downloaded into the PocketDish in about five minutes. Who says you can't take it with you.
The PocketDish AV402E has a 2.2-inch screen, weighs less than 7 ounces and fits in your pocket. It's 20GB storage capacity lets you store up to to 10,000 songs, 40 movies, or 20 hours of TV programming. The PocketDish AV500E has a 4-inch screen and a 30 GB storage capacity. There's even an AV700 model with a 40 GB capacity.
With the PocketDish you get a remote control, a docking station, and cables to connect to your TV or other electronic devices. You also get a rechargeable battery that gives you up to 4 hours of video playback and up to 15 hours of audio playback.
The last time I checked, PocketDish's were out of stock at most stores, but you can get refurbished models for 0 at online electronics stores like Satellite One (satelliteone.com).
